Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actress for more than 20 years. Her most well-known role is her role as Skyler White in Breaking Bad, an AMC Drama series Breaking Bad for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She performed the roles of Jean Ward and Martha Bullock, respectively, in The Practice. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in the year 1968. The actress fell in love with performing in Preparatory School before moving to Ohio together with her family during the mid-70s. Her studies in theatre took place in the theatre department at Northwestern University. A semester was taken at the British American Drama Academy. Anna performed in Chicago's theater for several years, before taking on film and television parts. In 1992 Anna was offered her first big part as Arden in the 29th episode of Down the Shore. Anna continued to appear in movies as well as TV shows such Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and other shows until the end of the 1990's. She was then placed in The Practice as Jean Ward. In the mid 2000's she was cast in Deadwood playing Martha Bullock for two full seasons. Skyler was on screen in Breaking Bad (2008). Sully and Deadwood were also the highlights of her work. Gunn has also appeared on stage in David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. The actress starred as the character Numbered Days in a four-part audio show that premiered set in 2022. Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's marriage to Skyler. Walter White's life story and the strain on the marriage he shares with Skyler are mirrored in the series.
