Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka is an American British sitarist and musician. She was the first and first woman to receive the British House of Commons Shield she's had nine Grammy Awards nominations and was the first musician of Indian origin to play live in concert and serve as a presenter at the ceremony. Anoushka Shankar is among India's most promising stars on the sitar. She is a student as well as daughter to Ravi Shankar. Born in London, she spent the first few years of her life traveling between London as well as New Delhi. Her debut concert was on stage in New Delhi at the tender 13 years old.
